Leaping Lizards! It’s Christmas in July! This July Parklands College presents the blockbuster Broadway musical and family favourite Annie. Brought to the Parklands stage by the same creative team that brought you the acclaimed production of Little Shop of Horrors, Annie promises to be the theatrical highlight of the Winter.

The heart warming story of the spunky Depression era orphan determined to find her folks is a cross faculty project that showcases the very best of Preparatory and Secondary talent at the College. It’s a Hard Knock Life, Easy Street, NYC and the ever optimistic Tomorrow, you can bet your bottom dollar that Annie will bring a smile to your face and get your toes a’ tapping. The message of never giving up hope appeals to young and old.

Annie is ideal for school audiences; from Foundation phase to FET it’s a show that has mass appeal. Primary school learners will love the story and be inspired by seeing youngsters of their age on stage. Arts and Culture Work packs will be made available for teachers after the show for classroom discussion and further projects. The historical context will illuminate American economic history for senior history learners, senior intermediate EMS learners and the parallels with the current global economic situation are a great starting point for discussion with Business learners. As a theatrical experience learners will have the opportunity to attend a slick full scale musical production with a live orchestra, full stage set, singing and dancing and all the bells, whistles and magic that you would expect from a Broadway musical.

Do not miss this highly entertaining theatrical treat.
